About Us

The Alawite International Organisation

Our Mission: Unity, Justice, Protection

The Alawite International Organisation is a beacon of light for all of humanity advocating for Justice, uniting and safeguarding our community and any minorities affected by their faith and identity from persecution. It was founded in response to the harrowing atrocities committed against Alawites in Syria since March 6, 2025. We stand determined in documenting truths, amplifying voices, and building a future where our heritage thrives

Our story

Led by Norah Cullen, (Nouha Hammoud) a daughter of mohsen Hammoud, the Organisation emerged from a deep personal call to action. Norah was stirred by haunting videos against Alawites in the March genocide that was carried out  and the plea for help from the citizens who were persecuted from the international community which inspired her to reconnect and lead this initiative. With a heart rooted in the heritage of Alawites and a vision for global unity, Norah founded the Alawite International Organisation to protect our people and honour their resilience.

Since our beginning, we have rallied the Alawite diaspora across Australia, Lebanon, Canada, and Germany, collecting testimonies to document persecution and advocate for accountability. Our work is driven by the belief that every voice matters and every member strengthens our fight for justice.
